About us
Our story started at an Architectural Millwork Shop in Central NJ. We were a smaller shop that did not have the space for a press line so we were fully dependent on laminate suppliers to provide us with laid up panels. We had lead times that ranged from 2 weeks to 4 weeks, not including the lead time for the laminate. We experienced what everyone else did, delays, damages, wrong colors and so on. None of this was a problem per se, until you find out the replacement panels will take another 2-4 weeks. So now we are at 4-8 weeks. Try telling the GC that your job is delayed because of material delays. After years of paying premiums for long lead times we said enough is enough.
We decided to open our own press facility. We dug in and did as much research as possible. What we found out answered our questions as to why is it taking so long. Well it is because the current vendors doing the pressing were other millwork shops who had a press and pressed for the suppliers on their downtime. If they got a big job, everyone got pushed back to the end of the line. That meant delays. So basically we were dependent on our competitors to hurry up and get us panels. That's not ok.
So we neutralized the field. We only press everyone else's jobs, not our own. Your job is the most important to us. We treat every job as if it is a rush job. 1-3 day lead times are our goal for every single job. We also added a feature where you can place your order online and you get automatic supply chain updates through emails. We'll let you know when your material arrives along with the estimated completion date; we let you know when its done and when it's been picked up. You do not have to track us down to find out, we do that without being asked. We make your job that much easier and provide a level of service to your customers that is not done by anyone else.
We have a state of the art press line manufactured by Evans Midwest Machinery. It features panel feeder, panel cleaner, glue spreader, indexing table and a heated pinch roller tunnel and a stacking table. Cold press and single heat press are in our near future. Our building can handle all 3 lines. The building is equipped with 2 bay doors that are 14' wide and 30' tall. Drivers can circle the building without ever having to reverse or maneuver tight parking lots.
